Non-ShowBiz Locations

Although the Rock-afire Explosion will always be best known for being the animatronic band from ShowBiz Pizza Place, they've also appeared at several independent establishments and small family entertainment center chains. This started happening in the late 1980s after the merger between ShowBiz Pizza Place, Inc. and Pizza Time Theatre, Inc. occured in 1985. The newly formed company ShowBiz Pizza Time, Inc. restructured its contracts with Creative Engineering, Inc. In the process, ShowBiz surrendered its exclusive license to the Rock-afire Explosion, thus giving Creative Engineering the freedom to sell and license the show to other venues.
