Mampato / Let's Fun - Region Metropolitana, Chile
Mampato was an entertainment / bowling complex operating in the 1990s and 2000s in Chile. They had a party area called “Let’s Fun”, which housed a New Rock-afire Explosion. Several Mampato locations existed throughout Chile, but the Lo Bamechea location was the only one to have a “Let’s Fun” area and a show. It’s unknown when Mampato purchased their show, but it was installed and operational by 1995.
The New Rock-afire Explosion Show
The show at Let's Fun was a full New Rock-afire Explosion, with a Karaoke add-on. The band was given custom outfits, most notably Beach Bear’s green and blue bowling uniform to go with the adjacent bowling alley. Fatz wore a Let’s Fun shirt, Mitzi wore a floral dress, Dook had yellow overalls and a hat, and Billy Bob was dressed in a yellow shirt with blue shorts. This show had no show selector.
The animatronics are rumored to have been destroyed. The owners claimed the show was destroyed after falling into disrepair, but this claim has not been verified. After the bots were removed, the stage itself was left intact, with the backdrops lasting until the early 2000s. A photo on the old website can be found of guests on the stage in 2001, with the bots long gone. Photos from 2015 still show remnants of the stage and lighting, with the backgrounds also having been removed.
