I'm intending to go to CheeseVention - How do I get registered? And is there anything else that I should do to prepare for the event?
To register is simple, no application is needed. Simply send an e-mail to
cheesevention@showbizpizza.com and give us your name and let us know that you're coming! Be sure to let us know if you'll be bringing guests along. Please include your name and a contact number where we can reach you if we have any questions, and include "CV8 Registration" in your e-mail subject line so we don't lose your registration in the spam trap.
Other things you should do is make sure your hotel is pre-booked if you'll be staying overnight (just to be safe). Be sure to bring a little extra $$ for food and souviners if you plan on getting any keepsakes to take with you.
Also plan ahead for your transportation around the Dallas area. Having your own vehicle is . If you do not plan to have a vehicle, please contact other members who are attending and see if you can ride with them. We can try to help with what we are able to, however we cannot guarantee a ride for you, so planning ahead is essential.
Registered guests will be required to sign a simple letter of indemnity prior to participating in CV activities (these will be available at the event). Basically the equivalent of a permission slip, these will simply state that the CV hosts are not liable for any injury, sickness, etc that might occur to attendees during the duration of our weekend event.
Will there be any limits on the CV Exclusive items? Like one item per registered guest?
This time around we're going with a
3rd Party to produce the CV related T-shirts, etc. This will ensure that our attendees (and those wanting items but are unable to attend) the chance to get CV shirts in their desired color and size. Since these are not being sold at the event, we strongly encourage you to order yours in advance if you plan to wear your gear to CV!
What time are the different events going to be held?
This is something currently in the works. As of right now, there is no concrete schedule of which event will happen at what time. By the time CheeseVention hits we do plan to have events scheduled, but things may be changing up the the day of the event. For this reason we strongly suggest that all guest plan to attend for the full duration of CheeseVention in order to see and experience it all. (CV hours are tentative and subject to change - to stay up on all the current news be sure to register and get on our mailing list!)
Is there anything I can do to help out with CheeseVention?
There are several areas where we could use help - if you're local to the Dallas area and are able to help out with shuttling guests around the area for the weekend, please e-mail

We are also looking for anyone who might have items to donate, in order to help us make Cheesevention as great as possible. Perhaps a collector with tons of extra items, or maybe a CEC manager that can help out with smaller discontinued items. Maybe you have an extra collectable or two that you no longer need and would like to donate, that's great too. Every little bit helps, so if there's something you might be able to donate, please do not hesitate to write to us.
