The strategy section - Don Flamenco 2
Hearts: 15
The Dummy Don

Basics:
Don Flamenco is penetrating Mac to the maximum so you should finish him off as fast as possible. Please led me know if you have got a faster strategy than my one!

Right at the beginning of Round 1 Don jabs a straight right. Note this action. When he prepares to do this initial jab, then counter with a fast body punch to get star no.1. When you have got the star wait untill Don does an angry upper-cut punch. Dodge, counter to the head and unload the star in his stunned face. Then wait for Don to do some of those initial jabs. By this time you have to dodge and counter them to the face (each of the three with four counter punches!) After you have unloaded the fourth/final jab of the last  counter wait for Don. He prepares for another upper-cut punch. Do not led him do this move at this time but counter while he prepares for this action with a fast left face punch. This should give you star no.2. When you have got it, then wait for Don`s next punch, dodge, counter with three face punches and unload the star in his stunned face. This should send him down to the mat. Clock should show 0:57 - 1:02 !!
When he is back on stage, then dodge and counter (4x) the next 3-jabs series. This is the same routine as before you get star no.2 because after these jabs you again have to punch him in the face (left!) while he prepares for an upper-cut punch to get star no.3. You must be fast enough because when the clock shows 1:30 Don changes to the most boring routine of the whole W.V.B.A. So you must get star no.3 before 1:30.
When you have got star no.3 then Don will change to the provocating action. Try to face punch him to initialize a move. Dodge and face counter. You should counter with 9-11 fast face punches. Do not forget to unload star no.3 at a suitable moment in his stunned face. Repeat this boring action untill Don is down for the 2nd (1:47) and 3rd (2:04) time.

The ugliest guy in town...this is my the strategy....
"I have such a (xxx!!) style!"
...aaarrrrrgggghh....

I still need a 100% waterproof fast TKO strategy for Don Flamenco 2 but I doubt it exists. The stars you need for fast TKO are random.
So all I can provide is this link for the sub 1:20 Round 1 TKO that can only be done on emulator using savestats:

---------Extreme Don Flamenco 2 - beyond all limits !!--------

Flamenco's Last Dance
Written and  Invented by Matt Turk and Tom Rath

TKO Don 2 from 1:13-1:25 using this strategy (depending on how much energy he gets up with)
Tested on NESTICLE emulator and should work on NTSC since emulation is 1:1

Phase 1:
Phase 1 is exactly the same as the "Don Flamenco 2 Extreme" strategy invented by Redtom in January 2003. Note: Make sure that you use Mac's right hand when attempting to obtain all 5 stars to cause maximum damage. First kknockdown should be between 0:38-0:41 and Mac should have 2 stars in reserve.

Phase 2 :
case 1- Use this strategy when Don's energy refills to halfway before the first dot. As soon as Don comes back into the fight intercept his first straight jab with a RIGHT body blow for star #1 100%. Dodge his following straight jab and answer with a single face jab followed a star uppercut in his stunned face. Dodge his next straight jab and answer with 2 face jabs and followed by a star uppercut. Don will then try a left hook which Mac must intercept with the LEFT hand. Intercept Don's following 2 straight jabs with Mac's right hand and he will go down after the second interception between 1:10 and 1:12. Mac will have 1 star left.

case 2- Use this strategy when Don's energy refills back even with the first dot after the first knockdown. As soon as The Rose from Spain comes back into the fight intercept his straight jab for star #1 100%. Then dodge his following straight jab and answer with a single left face jab followed a star in his stunned face. Immediately dodge his following straight jab attempt and answer with 3 face jabs followed by a star uppercut in his stunned face. Don will be down to a small sliver of energy so intercept his following left hook attempt with Mac's left hand to send him down at 1:01-1:03. Mac will have one star left.

case 3- Use this strategy when Don's energy refill past the second dot (usually after he gets up an 8 count). As soon as Don comes back into the fight intercept his straight jab with with Mac's right hand for star #1 (100%). Immediately quick dodge his following hook and answer with a single face jab followed a star uppercut. Immediately dodge his following hook and answer with 2 face jabs followed by a star uppercut to send Don down between 0:58 and 1:01. Mac should have one star in reserve.

Phase 3:
Is the same for all 3 phase 2 strategies. As soon as Don comes back into the fight press START to deliver a star uppercut which will land right into Don's first straight jab attempt. Intercept Don's following straight jab with a left or right body blow which will 100% produce a star following case 1 phase 2  strategy. If you utilized case 2 or 3 then intercpet Don's third straight jab with a left or right body blow to obtain a star (100%). Immediately quick dodge Don's following left hook and let go of Mac's final star without stunning Don first to send the Spanish lover down from 1:13-1:27 depending on the strategy used.

Unfortunately I have not tested these strategies out on NTSC. However, my best time and current world record is 1:21.25 in which I used Tom's original Don 2 Extreme strategy (follow link above!). Do want to be the one to get the 1:13 on him?

Dedication:
I would like to thank Tom for coming up with the original Don 2 Extreme strategy and for suggesting that the Don 2 time could be lower. Also to Jack Wedge who has the second fastest time on Flamenco 2 (1:28.48). Also thanks to the programmers of the game for making Don the most random and boring boxer in the entire game. The best way to practice is to type in the code for SMM and lose to him on purpose and you can get 2 fights agsinst Don 2. I am convinced that these strategies cannot be done without a serious time commitment (about 400-1000 games) but nevertheless it can be done. Good luck and remeber to not get too frustrated. Don will cooperate if you put a little time in.
